UI Enhancement case study

I began by identifying the real-life scenarios, ensuring that the design solutions are both intuitive and impactful. Here’s a case study that highlights my problem-solving design process.

My role

I led this project as a Product Manager and Product Design Lead at CASHet.

Project goal

Improve the existing UI/UX for transaction receipt & memo upload to enhance user satisfaction, increase retention, and reduce churn.

Target users

CASHet card holders who use the web platform and/or mobile app: Persona name "John"

Stakeholders

CASHet Pcard Digital Approval team and head of customer support - approximately 8-10 people. Entire design process was shared with stakeholders through 6 Zoom meetings, numerous Slack messages & emails.

User's goal

Add a memo and upload receipt files to the corresponding transactions to enable approval by the administrators.

Conclusion/Retrospective

This feature request came directly from users who had been waiting for it for years and now use it daily. While it could have been implemented sooner, the update ultimately delighted customers and improved their workflows. For the file uploading UI, to meet engineering requirements, I adapted my design to work with a pre-built file upload plugin, balancing design consistency with resource efficiency. Throughout the process, I had been presenting mock-ups and testing usability with the stakeholders. Consistent communication with stakeholders and the engineering team was key to the feature's successful launch.
