Project goal

Visualized investment risk on a 1-to-10 scale along with relevant charts and tables, enabling financial advisors to create clear reports and explain risks effectively to their clients.

  • Convert Prospects to Clients: Diagnose investment risks and returns, offering tailored solutions that address their needs.

  • Maintain Client Satisfaction: Analyze and align current clients' investment risks with their risk tolerances, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.

  • Mitigate Compliance Issues: Proactively address and resolve potential compliance challenges.

Challenges/Retrospective

Biggest challenge was to create Graphic UI for the PRISM Rating. Given that this graphic UI will be the product’s core feature, multiple iterations were essential.

  • How best to display the risk score?

    • In 1 to 10 scale.

  • Should I incorporate a metaphor?

    • A metaphor can enhance end-client understanding of complex financial data.

  • Which metaphor would be most effective?

    • Speedometer

  • Should I use color gradients to indicate low to high risk?

    • Colors can be instrumental in conveying risk levels.

  • Will the chosen metaphor and color scheme be accessible for colorblind users or in black-and-white mode?
